The scope of work I am undertaking for your project is itemised in the project commencement invoice (emailed separately).
Before proceeding with payment of this invoice and acceptance of these terms, please check that this scope of work accords with your understanding following our discussions.
Any subsequent changes to this scope of work are subject to additional fees. If such changes negate any part of the work already completed at that time, payment for the completed work will still be required, in addition to fees for the changes.
The project commencement payment represents 50% of the total fee for this project, and is required to confirm your booking in my schedule.
The second and final project payment of 50% is due when I deliver the completed written work for your feedback. Any subsequent revision per your feedback (one revision is included in the fee) does not alter this final payment due date.
I undertake that the work provided will be original work by me (except to the extent that your existing material is included/reworked), free of plagiarism. I will use reasonable care to ensure that all statements in the work are true, however I will rely on your expertise and direction with respect to your area of practice and business.
I retain full rights to all work until final payment is received. On receipt of the final payment, all rights, present and future, are transferred to you.
Once rights to the work transfer to you, you assume full responsibility for how it is used, including ensuring it meets any standards or legal requirements relating to your area of practice and business.
If you need to cancel the project, please let me know as soon as possible. You will be responsible for payment of any work done towards the completion of the project, based on the percentage of project completed.
If there is a breakdown in communication and progress on the project, such that I receive no response to my emails for more than 7 days, I reserve the right to cancel the project and require payment for any work done towards the completion of the project, based on the percentage of project completed.
